All of The Ragged Halo’s releases were composed between 2020–2023. These works have been remixed, remastered, reprised, or re-released as part of Red Resonance Studios’ rebranding, with artwork updated where necessary.
The persona focuses on raw, guitar-driven rock, spanning alternative, grunge, post-rock, instrumental rock, fusion, experimental, and orchestral rock. Electric guitars, bass, and acoustic-style drums form the core, while subtle synth and orchestral elements extend the sonic palette. Production prioritises energy, texture, and emotional immediacy, deliberately embracing imperfection to convey intensity and expression.
Reveries
Reveries blends alternative and post-rock structures with instrumental focus. Guitar-driven arrangements dominate, supported by bass and rock drums. Occasional synth or orchestral elements enhance atmosphere without becoming central. Tracks emphasise dynamic range, textural depth, and raw energy, favouring expressive imperfection over polish.
Urban Angst
Urban Angst continues the instrumental approach, combining post-rock, alternative, and experimental rock. Electric guitars and drum arrangements form the foundation, with bass driving rhythm and synth/orchestral textures used sparingly to broaden tonal range. Production captures immediacy and emotional intensity, maintaining the raw, expressive sound central to the persona.
Together, these releases form a consistent alternative/post-rock catalogue, presenting The Ragged Halo as Red Resonance Studios’ core guitar-driven rock persona. The re-releases consolidate the works for the collective, ensuring uniform branding and accessibility for new and existing listeners.
